Site Search Site Map RSS Feeds August Update Brothers and Sisters, Your administration will continue to communicate via email and mail as we have throughout this pandemic. As I mentioned in my last correspondence, I have communicated with the Mayor’s and Governor’s offices regarding our future monthly Membership meetings being held at either Local 134 IBEW or McCormick Place. The capacity of McCormick Place would have allowed for social distancing but more importantly the safety of the Membership. Unfortunately, both elected officials and their Department Directors have emphatically DENIED our request. With the rising number of positive COVID 19 cases in Illinois and the uncertainty of the pandemic, we will not be holding monthly meetings until we have the “all clear” from both government bodies. The only thing we can do is continue to update the membership on the business of the Local through all avenues of communication available to us. That is why we will be sending out a COVID 19 update that will include reports from all your Officers. This update will be sent to you by the end of August and quarterly thereafter until we can resume monthly Membership meetings. Brothers and Sisters, I also want you to be aware you can ALWAYS phone or email myself or any Officer, Business Agent and Office Administrator anytime. We have and will continue to address any and all of your concerns. Please stay safe and we will get through these unprecedented times together. In Solidarity, Donald Finn Business Manager/Financial Secretary Paused Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago Run to Rebuild (Virtual) This virtual event can be run, walked, or biked any time between October 16 and October 23. Participants complete the distance however they like within the 7-day time period and submit their results.
